| NHL DRAFT 08 BECOMES A REALITY FOR CALIFORNIA PLAYERS |

The Jr Kings would like to congratulate former Jr Kings players on their selection during the NHL Draft in Ottawa Canada .
Second Round Mitch Wahl (48th overall) Calgary Flames
Mitch played for the Jr. Kings Midget 18U AAA team during the 2005-2006 season under Coaches Nelson Emerson Frank Salcido.
Third Round Max Nicastro (91st overall) Detroit Red Wings
Max played with the Jr. Kings Midget 18U AAA team during the 2006-2007 season under Coaches Ray Bennett , Frank Salcido, Mike Pilon & Rob Armstrong.
The Club would also like to congratulate former California Wave player Colin Long on his selection in the fourth round (99th overall) to the Phoenix Coyotes. Colin was coached by current Jr. Kings 18U coach Jack Bowkus.
Also Congratulations to Brett Hextall (son of the Los Angeles Kings Assistant General Manager) selected in the sixth round to Phoenix .
We wish all the players the best of luck as they pursue their NHL dream. |

BRANDON CONVERY
FORMER NHL PLAYER TO JOIN JR KINGS.... |
|

The Los Angeles Jr. Kings are pleased to announce the hiring of Brandon Convery as Co- Head Coach for the 2008-2009 Bantam AAA Jr. Kings team. Convery will team with current Coach Jack Bowkus for what will arguably be the most experienced tandem around.
From the age of 4 years old, Brandon Convery spent a quarter of a century building a career as an internationally recognized professional hockey player. His athletic skills, focus, and determination created a winning combination on and off the ice. Since his retirement from professional hockey Brandon has applied those same tools to coaching running successful hockey schools throughout the United States and Canada focusing on skill development at the AAA levels.
Convery and Bowkus plan on the team attending some of the most prominent tournaments in North America. Try outs begin Friday June 6th at 6:00PM.

The LA Jr Kings are proud to announce our 2008 Tune-Up Clinics.
The Tune-up Clinics will run for 8 consecutive weeks featuring a series of four special high intensity clinics of skills and scrimmages designed by Tomas Kapusta and Jack Bowkus.
All clinics will be conducted by the
2008 – 2009 Los Angeles Jr. Kings’ Coaching Staff
These Clinics are open to ALL serious Hockey players
and goalies including first year travel hockey players who want to improve their game.

| LAJK JOINS THE MWEHL-MID WEST ELITE HOCKEY LEAGUE |

The LA Jr. Kings Board of Directors are excited to announce the
participation of the Jr. Kings Midget Tier I 18U team in the newly
formed Tier I MWEHL. This is a huge step for Midget Tier I hockey across
the United States as it will help to showcase the top Elite teams in the
Nation as well as reduce travel and organizational costs for the teams.
The Jr. Kings are extremely appreciative to the MWEHL Board of Directors
for the invitation to participate in this newly formed league and for
the recognition their invitation has bestowed on us as one of the top
Elite programs in the Nation. In addition, on behalf of the LA Jr. Kings
Board of Directors I would like to thank all of the Jr. Kings' players,
coaches, volunteers and administrators of the last 5 years, who were and
still are instrumental in maintaining our vision of developing young
hockey players to excel at the highest level of play and life. For more
